90 Kentucky Senior Golf Association members will converge on Campbellsville Country Club on August 2nd for the 2010 KSGA Amazon.com Special. Participants will battle for KSGA Player of the Year points on the course that J.B. Holmes used to tune his game on before his success as a PGA Tour Professional. In typical fashion, the KSGA's finest players are set to compete - all trying to make up ground on current points leader, Mike Campbell.
Danville Country Club played host to 106 members of the Kentucky Senior Golf Association for the 2010 Summer Special on July 19th. The golf course set up well for the players but only one played broke par and posted a red score - Dennis Long fired a one under par 71. Willis Black shot a 73 to take top honors in the Super Senior Division.
Kentucky Senior Golf Association's Fred Allen Fund Assists Kentucky's Junior Golfers
The Kentucky Senior Golf Association, through its Fred Allen Fund, will once again provide financial assistance to junior golfers from Kentucky who qualify for the United States Girls' Junior Championship and the United States Junior Amateur Championship. Each participant is eligible for up to $1,000 in assistance to cover expenses associated in traveling to and participating in the event. The 2010 United States Girls' Junior Championship is July 19-24 at The Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, North Carolina; and the United States Junior Amateur Championship will be conducted July 19-24 at Egypt Valley Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The second of three KGA Member Play Days was held at Louisville's Persimmon Ridge Golf Club today and the weather wasn't a factor, finally. A slight breeze cooled the course and the players as almost 50 KGA Members enjoyed one of Kentucky's top caliber golf venues.
