As the sun began to rise on Oxmoor Country Club, one thing was for sure: It was going to be a tough day to play golf.  With winds gusting up to 35 mph, players were just trying to keep their hats on.  Rick Cain shot a 2-under-par round of 70 and took home the 1st Flight title and also assured himself of the 2009 KSGA Player of the Year.

2009 was a good year for Mr. Cain, winning or finishing second in almost all of the events he played in.

The course and the conditions were the story of the day in Flights 2-Super Senior.  With scores high and players worn out, each Flight saw their own champions accept their gift certificates. Danny Ashlock (2nd Flight), Mark Fetter (3rd Flight), Leo Thieneman (4th Flight) and Doug Francke (Super Seniors) weathered the wind and came out

victorious.
