Kentucky Senior Golf Association's Fred Allen Fund Assists Kentucky's Junior Golfers |

Fred Allen
The Kentucky Senior Golf Association, through its Fred Allen Fund, will once again provide financial assistance to junior golfers from Kentucky who qualify for the United States Girls' Junior Championship and the United States Junior Amateur Championship. Each participant is eligible for up to $1,000 in assistance to cover expenses associated in traveling to and participating in the event. The 2010 United States Girls' Junior Championship is July 19-24 at The Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, North Carolina; and the United States Junior Amateur Championship will be conducted July 19-24 at Egypt Valley Country Club in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Kentucky's participants in the 2010 United States Girls' Junior Championship are Mackenzie Moir (Louisville) and Emma Talley (Princeton); and in the 2010 United States Junior Amateur Championship, Justin Thomas (Goshen) and Kyle Wilshire (Georgetown) are scheduled to compete.
The Kentucky Senior Golf Association's Fred Allen Fund is named in honor of the late Fred Allen of Louisville, a long-time supporter of golf in Kentucky, accomplished player and member of the Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame.
