KSGA Offers Membership Survey

The Kentucky Senior Golf Association Board of Directors wants to be as responsive as possible to its members, and with that in mind, the Board of Directors is pleased to offer a membership survey as a means to provide feedback. The tournament schedule, organizational structure and the provided amenities are of particular interest. The Board requests you take this opportunity to provide it with your responses and to offer any suggestions you may have.

Cain Earns Third Player of the Year Honor

Age Divison Players of the the Year Also Named

Rick Cain of Shelbyville has earned the 2009 Kentucky Senior Golf Association Player of the Year honors. Cain scored a victory in the KSGA Match Play Championship and was low amateur in the PGA National Resort Kentucky Senior Open to finish 168 points ahead of his closest rival.

Inaugural KGA Member Play Day Conducted

It took more than matching the tournament low score to win the 2009 PGA National Resort Kentucky Senior Open at Gibson Bay Golf Course. It also took winning a sudden-death playoff against a former three-time champion. But Louisville's Eddie Mudd did exactly that to take his second Open crown in three years.

Cain Wins KSGA Fall Special

As the sun began to rise on Oxmoor Country Club, one thing was for sure: It was going to be a tough day to play golf.  With winds gusting up to 35 mph, players were just trying to keep their hats on.  Rick Cain shot a 2-under-par round of 70 and took home the 1st Flight title and also assured himself of the 2009 KSGA Player of the Year.

Josh Teater Captures Nationwide Tour Event

Kentucky native, former Morehead State University golfer and Pepsi Junior Golf Tour veteran Josh Teater captured the Nationwide Tour's Utah Championship on September 13 with a final round 68 for a four stroke margin of victory. This marked Josh's first Nationwide Tour victory, and the win moved him to 8th on the Nationwide Tour's money list.
