2009 KSGA Player of the Year

Rick Cain of Shelbyville has earned the 2009 Kentucky Senior Golf Association Player of the Year honors. Cain scored a victory in the KSGA Match Play Championship and was low amateur in the PGA National Resort Kentucky Senior Open to finish 168 points ahead of his closest rival.
This is Cain’s third KSGA Player of the Year as he was also honored in 2003 and 2004.
Cain will be recognized by the KSGA on November 19th at the 2009 Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Lexington Country Club.
Additionally, the KSGA recognizes each age division Player of the Year winner at it's annual KSGA Fall Meeting. This year's winners are Roy Boisture (Age 55-59), Rick Cain (Age 60-64), Fred McMillen (Age 65-69), and Don Wood (70 and over). |
